OUR STORY
The story of Hooper’s Bakery starts with a dream. “One day, I will open a restaurant with an amazing dessert menu!”
And where else to go and learn how to make such a dessert menu than France? Pastry school in Paris is where Rebecca Hooper dives into the world of bread and pastries.
After working at Thomas Haas in Vancouver for a number of years Rebecca moved back to Rossland, her home town, together with her partner Ben. In the summer of 2017 they started selling Rebecca’s products at the Rossland Farmers Market. After two years at the market it became clear that a permanent location in Rossland was required and in January 2019 Hooper’s Bakery opened its door for the first time.
Since that day Hooper’s has developed a great relationship with the town and built an amazing team of passionate local people and suppliers who make it possible to bake the best treats in the Kootenays, right here in Rossland!
